“Photography is not just an art medium, its my life, and it will forever be a part of who I am.”
—
Born in St. Louis, MO and raised just south in Jefferson County, photography has always been a part of my life. Beginning with my first, early introduction into photography with Pokemon Snap to hijacking the Fuji film camera on family vacations. Back then I thought photographing statues of Mark Twain made me like a little Ansel Adams. This passion in photography continued to blossom in high school where I became a head photographer in a nationally recognized yearbook. After moving to Columbia to attend Mizzou, I jumped at the chance to take photography classes as my electives (eventually making it a minor). After graduating at Mizzou with a BA in Psychology, I still shot when I could but it took a back seat to other things in life. However, as I soon discovered life had other plans for myself and I took a break from the craft for several years. But recent events in both the world and my personal life have re-awakened my sleeping passion to lead me to this moment.
Photography to me is not just an art medium, it’s my life, and will forever be a part of who I am. This is not just some career choice for myself. I take great pride in what I do and you will see it in my work. Its also a reflection of who I am. Like most people my interests are nuanced and that is evident in my photos. My interests in photography are broad and encompass a wide range of genres. I enjoy photographing architecture, landscape, photojournalism, astrophotography, portraiture, and macro photography. My portfolio reflects these interests. You name it, I have experience shooting it.
